Milton E. King

Milton E. King, 75, of Dodgeville, formerly of Eagle, passed away at home surrounded by his family Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007. Milton was born Dec. 2, 1932, in Milwaukee, to Milton and Olive (nee Merkt) King and he graduated from Don Bosco High School.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954 during the Korean conflict. Milton married MaryKay (nee Rink) on May 22, 1965, at St. Paulís Catholic Church in Genesee Depot. The couple lived in Eagle most of their married lives, where Milton owned and operated Centurion Industries for many years. He was a member of St. Maryís Catholic Church in Mineral Point.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, James and Donald King.

Milton is survived by his wife, MaryKay of Dodgeville; five children, Catherine Mary King of Madison, Edward Michael (Kristen) King of Cudahy, William Patrick King of Waukesha, Sarah Bridget (Martin) Schimke of Red Granite and Jonathan Milton King of Waupaca; two grandchildren, Regina and Augustus Schimke; a sister, Dorothy Andersen of West Allis; two sisters-in-law, Susan King of Florence and Josephine King of Greenfield; as well as nieces, nephews and many friends.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at St. Maryís Catholic Church, Mineral Point, with the Rev. James Hinnen officiating. Burial will be held at noon Wednesday, Jan. 2, at the Holy Apostles Catholic Cemetery in New Berlin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Upland Hills Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
