Claire A. Houk, 84, of Mukwonago, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He was born Dec. 14, 1922, in Dousman, the son of the late George and Margaret (nee Waters) Houk.
Claire was retired from Kearney & Trecker, where he worked as a welder, and he also taught welding at Waukesha County Technical College. He enjoyed dancing, music and metal work.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Miriam (nee Mickey) Houk; their sons, Roger (Dana), Randall and Rodney (Josie); his brother, Edwin (Frances) Houk of Aurora, Ill.; his grandchildren, Joshua, Erin (Jeramy) LaMieux, Leah, Shane and Travis Houk; great-grandchild, Althea Houk; stepgrandchildren, Michael, Jarod and Crystal Hall; and his special daughters, JoAnn Levesque of Arizona and Shirley Kinney of Ohio.
Claire was preceded in death by his brothers, Leon, Royal and Gerald.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian burial Saturday, Feb. 3, at St. James Catholic Church in Mukwonago. Interment will follow at St. Theresaﾕs Cemetery in Eagle.
