Ted Grulke, 80, of Oconomowoc, found peace Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Gladys, of 58 years; five children, Donna (Paul) Eng of Mililani, Hawaii, Linda (Ken) Gardner of Adams, Dee (Kurt) Bence of Watertown, Dean (Jennifer) Grulke of Franklin and Lois (Scott) Kramm of Okauchee; nine grandchildren, Ryan and Andrea Eng, Robert Gardner, Adam, Brent and Courtney Grulke, Scott and Lyndsee Kramm, and Taylor Bence; sisters, Esther Hackbarth of Oconomowoc, Marie Stark of Jefferson, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugo and Marie Grulke, sisters and brothers.
He was born Nov. 11, 1926, in the town of Oconomowoc. He served proudly in the U.S. Army in World War II. He married his sweetheart on Sep. 25, 1948.
Ted was avid in fishing, gardening, pigeons and sports. He was a member of Dr. Martin Luther Church, the Watertown Pigeon Club, National Pigeon Association, the American Great Homers Association and the Oconomowoc VFW Post 2260.
Funeral services 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at Dr. Martin Luther Church, 325 S. Main St., Oconomowoc, with the Rev. Erik Gronberg officiating.
Entombment will be at Glenview Memorial Gardens, town of Ixonia. Friends may call Friday from 10 a.m. until the 2 p.m. service at Dr. Martin Luther Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Dr. Martin Luther Church or the Watertown Pigeon Club.
