George T. Sangwin

George T. Sangwin of Waukesha passed away Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He was 88 years old.
George was born in Chicago on Jan. 27, 1919, the son of Charles and Effie (nee McMorris) Sangwin.
On June 23, 1949, he married June Meyers in Milwaukee.
George was a former member of the Masons and was a World War II Army veteran, serving his country with the 845th Air Engineers Squadron from Nov. 14, 1941, until being discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant on Nov. 9, 1945.
Survivors include his wife, June; his children, Laura (Randy) Cramer of Mukwonago, George D. Sangwin of Laurenceville, N.J., and Mark (Donna) Sangwin of Roseville, Calif.; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 9, from 5 p.m. until the time of a funeral service at 7 p.m. at the Schmidt & Bartelt-Van Valin Funeral Home, 315 Main St. (Highway ES), Mukwonago. The Rev. Rick Hartley will officiate. Cremation will follow.
