Kenneth J. Boettcher Sr. of Waukesha, born June 30, 1927, in Waukesha, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He was 79.
Ken was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a retiree of V & L Tool after seven years of service and of Waukesha Bearing after 30 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margaret (nee Kuhlka) of Waukesha; children, Kathy Boettcher (Burruss Williams) of Palmyra, Ken (Deborah) Boettcher Jr. of Waukesha, Steve Boettcher (Barbara Hartel) of Waukesha, Jeff (Lori) Boettcher of Waukesha and Sue (Fernando) Jimenez of Waukesha; stepchild, Ruth (Al) Geiger of New Berlin; grandchildren, Adam, Emily, Javier, Gabriella, Holly, Brooke and Joel; and great-grandchildren, Sydney and Alyssa. He is also remembered as the dear brother of Betty (the late Bud) Templeton, Robert (Lois) Boettcher and Jerry (Julie) Boettcher.
He is further loved by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Edith; brothers, Don, Bruce and Ray; and his sister, Jeanette.
A time of gathering will be held from 5 p.m. until the 7 p.m. memorial service Thursday, Feb. 8, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road, Waukesha (four blocks south of Interstate 94, at the corner of highways JJ and J).
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Lung Association are appreciated.
