Gerald F. ‘Jerry’ Blomiley

Gerald F. "Jerry" Blomiley of Eagle died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at his home at age 72. Jerry was born July 18, 1934, in Palmyra, the son of Fred and Ruth (nee Cummings) Blomiley.
He was united in marriage to Nancy Rose Kuehl on Nov. 7, 1959. Jerry was a U.S. Army veteran and was employed at Waukesha Engine for 47 years before retirement. He and his family lived in a small farmhouse on 7 acres, utilizing every inch of the land. This included a vegetable garden, strawberry patch and a home to many dairy goats. Jerry also enjoyed deer hunting, ice fishing and all of his Rottweilers.
Jerry will be deeply missed by his wife, Nancy of Eagle; his five children, Cindy (David) Yingling of Waukesha, John (Theresa) Blomiley of Eagle, Connie (Michael) Lohman of Eagle, Christine (Tom) Schroeder of Eagle and Jody (Darren) Smith of Mukwonago; grandchildren, Jessica (Joey) Garzez, Anthony, Rebekah and Johanna Yingling, Jonathon Blomiley, Justine and Sarah Lohman and Collin and Karlee Schroeder; two great-grandchildren, Isabella and Isaiah Garzez; and two sisters, Barbara Taddy of Crystal Lake, Ill., and Patricia (Donald) Martens of Palmyra. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Ellen Orchard.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. memorial service Saturday, Feb. 10, at Kettle Moraine Community Church, Highway 59, North Prairie. The Rev. Tom Hocking will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
