Thomas L. Schwaab

Thomas L. Schwaab, 90, of the town of Summit, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at Shorehaven Health Center. He was born April 26, 1916, in the town of Summit, the son of the late Walter and Bessie Mae (nee Coleman) Schwaab.

He married Phyllis Lord on his birthday, April 26, 1942, in Madison.

Thomas was a lawyer and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the university’s law school. He was a former supervisor for the town of Summit and the Waukesha County Board of Supervisors. His memberships included the Oconomowoc Masonic Lodge 42 and The Shriners.

He is survived by his children, Mary (Meridith) Cullen and Richard (Lynn) Schwaab, all of Nashotah, as well as seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Schwaab, and his parents, Walter and Bessie Mae Schwaab.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Feb. 24, at Zion Episcopal Church, 135 Rockwell Place, Oconomowoc. The Rev. Thad Butcher will officiate. Burial is at Town of Summit Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Nashotah House Seminary Bishop Parsons Scholarship Fund.
