Martin ‘Marty’ Johnson

Martin "Marty" Johnson, 81, of Waukesha, was born to eternal life Friday, Feb. 23, 2007.

Marty was a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the D.A.V. and a retiree from Miller Brewing Co. with 41 years of service. In his retirement, Marty enjoyed working at Wal-Mart for the past 11 years.

He is survived as the beloved husband of 58 years to Carmela (nee Ray); loving father of Sandra (John) Toson, Karen (Thomas) Jensen, Jane (Roland) Melvin and Mark; grandfather of Gina, Nina, Melanie, Brian, Marla and Marc; brother of Clara Krueger; and brother-in-law of Pat Rogers and Mary Potter. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Marty was preceded in death by his sister, Lorraine Osowski.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. Bahai service Wednesday, Feb. 28, at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield. Entombment to follow with military honors.

The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the nursing staff at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and the entire caring staff at AngelsGrace Hospice for the love and care extended to Marty.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Martin Johnson Endowment Fund at AngelsGrace Hospice would be appreciated.
