August F. ‘Augie’ Wagner Jr.

August F. "Augie" Wagner Jr. of Eagle passed away peacefully at Waukesha Memorial Hospital with his family by his side Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007. He was 68 years old.

August was born Jan. 30, 1939, in Milwaukee, the son of August Sr. and Myrtle (nee Kuphal) Wagner.

He was the owner of the former Wagner Antiques in Mukwonago and a member of the Wisconsin Antique Dealers Association. Augie loved to fish and was an avid Packers and NASCAR fan.

Survivors include his children, Chris (Stacey) of Sturgeon Bay, Greg (fiancee Kristin Harris) of Milwaukee and Jennie (Brian) Wagner-Pieper of East Troy; two grandchildren, Olivia Wagner and Jacob Pieper; two sisters, Pat (John) Bucholtz of Dousman and Dixie (Mike) Raith of Arkansas; his special friend and companion, Lynn Holz of Caldwell; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

His parents and his wife, Laurie, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, March 2, with a memorial service at 6 p.m. at Schmidt & Bartelt-Van Valin Funeral Home, 315 Main St. (Highway ES), Mukwonago.
