Melvon "Chub" Ellsworth, 79, passed away Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006. He was born in Milwaukee on Jan. 31, 1927.
Melvon married Nancy Riemer on June 26, 1954. He owned and operated his own real estate business in Oconomowoc for 40 years, was Realtor of the Year in 1973 and president of the Waukesha County Board of Realtors in 1977. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of St. Paulís Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc.
Melvon is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy, and sons, Gary (Corinne) Ellsworth, Gregg (Sherrie) Ellsworth, Tim (Janine) Ellsworth and Terry (Joanne) Ellsworth. He was the proud grandfather of Chad, Tiffany (Kevin), Samantha, Justin, Matthew, Allison, Adam and Sarah (Adam); and the proud great-grandfather of Hunter. He is further survived by sisters, Margaret (Paul) Bratz and Betty Duffey of Watertown.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Jan. 4, at St. Paulís Lutheran Church, 210 E. Pleasant St., Oconomowoc. The Rev. Paul Borgman and the Rev. Ronald Krug will officiate. Private burial will be Friday, Jan. 5, at Summit Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. Paulís Lutheran Church or to the Alzheimerís association.
