Doris Ruth Brown (nee Gunther) April 14, 1923 - Jan. 5, 2007
Doris graduated from Waukesha High School, Class of 1942. She was a life member of the Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ and served as a Sunday school teacher, president of the Women’s Guild and Priscilla Circle. Doris served her community as a Gray Lady during World War II, as an active supporter of the Hadfield School PTA and as a den mother for the Hadfield Cub Scout Pack. Doris is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Warren; sons and daughters-in-law, Tim (Susan) Brown of Johnson Creek and Terry (Terri) Brown of Wales; grandchildren, Seth and Shane Brown, Skye Hall and Adrian Brown; and great-grandchildren, Alley, Erin and Robby. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Monday, Jan. 8, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Entombment will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
