Phillip A. Woodin

Longtime Waukesha resident Phillip A. Woodin, 83, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at AngelsGrace Hospice. He was born June 5, 1923, in Lake Mills to Phillip and Irene (Bredow) Woodin.

Phillip was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corps. On Dec. 22, 1943, he married the former Eva Lazeration. He attended Carroll College for 2 12 years. He then worked at the former National Parts (Parts Hut) for 52 years. Mr. Woodin was a member of the First Congregational Church for 53 years and a member of the Waukesha Lodge of Elks No. 400.

Phillip is survived by his wife of 61 years, Eva, of Waukesha, and their children, Charles (Marli) Woodin of Big Bend and Sharon (Ronald) Kundinger of Brown Deer. He was a loving grandfather to Perry (Laura) Woodin of Albany, N.Y., Emily McDonald of Waukesha, Kevin Kundinger of Phoenix, Amy Kundinger of Brown Deer and great-grandfather to Haley McDonald. Other relatives and friends also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Juanita Schmidt and Margaret Sukup.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007. from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha with an Elks Lodge of Sorrow service at 8 p.m. Visitation continues on Friday, Feb. 2 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service at the funeral home with the Rev. Johnny C. Burnham presiding. A procession to Prairie Home Cemetery for the committal and burial, with full military honors, will follow the service.
