Jerry Rajnoch, 87, of Waukesha and formerly of Hammond, Ind., died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, at LindenGrove in Mukwonago.
He was born Oct. 3, 1919, in East Chicago, Ind., the son of the late Joseph Rajnoch.
He was married to Clementine Sekulski. Jerry worked as a refinery employee with Standard Oil for 15 years and as a foundryman with Blaw Knox Steel for 17 years. During World War II, he served his country as a services member of the Army Air Corps. He was a former member of the American Legion of East Chicago-Indiana Post No. 369.
He is survived by his children, Patricia (Henry) Halon of North Prairie and Margaret (Jules) Porsche of Aurora, Colo.; his grandchildren, Paul (Sarah) Halon, Sarah (Todd) Savoie, Abigail Halon, Stephen and Cara Porsche; and a great-grandchild, Eric Halon.
He was predeceased by his wife, Clementine.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Wednesday, Jan. 31, at Schmidt & Bartelt-Van Valin Funeral Home, 315 Main St. (Highway ES), Mukwonago, with the Rev. Greg Price officiating. Interment will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, Ill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Mukwonago American Legion Post No. 375.
