Erwin ‘Erv’ V. Hink

Erwin "Erv" V. Hink, 91, of Big Bend, died July 6, 2007. Erwin was born in Iowa on Oct. 18, 1915, the son of Albert and Elizabeth (nee Cogley) Hink.
He was united in marriage to Ruby Ardelle (nee Buyatt) on March 6, 1943, in Jump River. Erwin retired from Alloy Products of Waukesha in 1977 and was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Big Bend.
Erwin will be missed by his wife, Ruby of Big Bend; daughters, Barbara Mengel of Gilman, Carol (Robert) Mengel of Big Bend and Bonnie (Chris) Tapp of Waukesha; sons, Dennis (Debra), Barry (Linda), Scott (Sandra), Randy (Julie), all of Waukesha, Michael (Janet) of Milwaukee and Darrin (Dana) of Virginia; 26 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Erwin is preceded in death by his sisters, Eva Latz and Hazel Steinbach; brothers, Leonard and James; and son-in-law, Gerald Mengel.
A visitation for Erwin will be held Monday, July 9, 2007, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. A second visitation will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2007, from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, S89-W22650 Milwaukee Ave., Big Bend. A third visitation will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2007, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Jump River Community Center in Jump River. Burial will immediately follow at Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Jump River.
In lieu of flowers, Masses are appreciated or memorials in Erwin’s name can be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, 6130 W. National Ave., Suite 200, Milwaukee, WI 53214, or to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, S89-W22650 Milwaukee Ave., Big Bend, WI 53103.
