Margarita N. Florence
Margarita N. (nee Garcia) Florence, 58, of Mukwonago, was born to eternal life Sunday, July 8, 2007, after a courageous, nine-year battle with a spinal cord injury and multiple myeloma.
She touched many lives through her work, cooking, coaching and mentoring. Mom always put others first and wanted everyone to be happy. She was a caretaker, a peacemaker and the bridge across languages, cultures and family.
She is lovingly survived by her husband of 38 years, Gene. She is also the loving, dedicated and most cherished mom of Helen Renee (Bryan) Behl, Chelsee Rebecca Florence and Amanda Regina (Joel) Goodenough; beloved nana of Brooklyn; devoted and loving daughter of Cirila and the late Joseph Garcia; and dear sister of Joseph (Rita), Juanita (Eddie) and Mary Garcia, Josephina Lamphear, Roman (Michelle) and Senaida Rivera. Margaret was loved and will be remembered by other relatives and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held from noon until the 2 p.m. memorial service Sunday, July 15, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road, Waukesha. Burial will be private.
The family sends special thanks to the entire staff of Purity Dialysis Center of Mukwonago and to all the dedicated physicians that have cared for Margaret over the years, especially her good friend Dr. Waring.
Church and Chapel Funeral Home is serving the family. For more information, call 549-0659 or visit www.churchandchapel.com to view the online obituary, leave condolences or receive directions.
