Adelheid ‘Heidi’ Erna Gerda Ernst

March 18, 1937 - July 2, 2007

Adelheid ‘Heidi’ Erna Gerda Ernst, 70, of Waukesha, died in a motorcycle accident in the Grand Teton National Park on Monday, July 2, 2007. She was born in Germany on March 18, 1937, the daughter of Wilhelm and Else Korden Spaniol.

Heidi was the chief echocardiogram technician for Waukesha Memorial Hospital for more than 30 years. She loved her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with her longtime companion, Marv Ladely.

She is survived by two sons, Peter (Sue) and Michael (Mary); three grandsons, Alec, Cameron and Jared; her sister, Helga Lichtschlag; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Edmund, and her sister, Ursula Grotejahn.

Visitation will be held from 4:30 p.m. until the 6:30 p.m. memorial service Monday, July 16, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 W. Bluemound Road, Waukesha. Private entombment will be held at Prairie Home Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
