Wayne Henry Ansorge

Wayne Henry Ansorge, 72, of Waukesha, died peacefully surrounded by family Sunday, May 27, 2007, at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc.

Wayne served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was chief of the Volunteer Fire Department in Wales for several years. He retired from Generac after 38 years of employment. He was a member of the Waukesha Elks Club for 25 years where he served as exalted ruler from 1987 to 1988. He was also on the board of directors for United Way for many years. He was a longtime member of St. William Catholic Church. He belonged to the Brookfield American Legion.

Wayne was an avid fisherman, golfer and bowler. He loved watching NASCAR on television. He loved all his community service and he truly loved his years working at Generac Power Systems and all his friends he made there. Wayne truly was a friend to all.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Katherine and Henry; stepfather, Alvin Cook; sister, Anita Dietrich, and stepdaughter, Patti Hardgrove.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Sandra (nee Eternick); son, David of Green Bay; grandchildren, Egan, Liberty and Isaac; brother, Allan (Jane); sisters, Lindy (Richard) Engquist and Marion (Charles) Nate; and stepchildren, Linda (Dennis) Reichardt, Bonnie (Rick) Moran and Susi Brent. A special thank you for the love and support of Sandy's sister, Sharon Melichar. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Wayne will be held from 1 p.m. until the 4 p.m. memorial service Saturday, June 2, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, followed by an Elk’s Lodge of Sorrow service. A private burial will take place.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Wayne's name to the Waukesha Elks Lodge and AngelsGrace Hospice.
