Terry L. Cook

Jan. 14, 1937 - June 1, 2007

Longtime Waukesha resident Terry L. Cook, 70, died Friday, June 1, 2007, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He was born in Waukesha on Jan. 14, 1937, to Charles and Mabelle Koloske Cook.

In 1954, he graduated from Waukesha High School. Terry was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1958 to 1961, mainly in Germany. He was a member of the American Legion, D.J. Martin Post No. 8

He loved the auto business, and for most of his working life, he sold cars at various dealerships in the Waukesha area. Conversing, sharing stories and points of view - both political and personal - were a favorite endeavor for Mr. Cook. Feeding the local wildlife, especially the raccoons and possums, were a delight to him. He was also quite a wiz at crossword puzzles.

He is survived by his children, David Cook and Christopher (Jenny) Cook, both of Waukesha; grandchildren, Jessica and Jonathan; his former wife and friend, Carole of Waukesha; his favorite Aunt Jean Davies of Waukesha; five cats and the dog, Marcie.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Stewart Lee Cook.
