Ernest L. Kuepfer
Ernest L. Kuepfer, 81, of Waukesha, died Friday, June 22, 2007, at Life Care Hospital. He was born in Milwaukee the only child to Ernst and Louise (nee Krause) Kuepfer.
Ernest was a proud veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific for the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a proud recipient of two Purple Hearts. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, D.J. Martin Post No. 8; Soat-Vergenz Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 721 and the Waukesha County Marine Corps League. He was retired from Rasmussen Industrial Supply of Milwaukee, where he had worked as an industrial salesman. He was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Shirley (neel Zych) Kuepfer of Waukesha. He was the proud father of six daughters, Kathleen (Richard) McIlveen of Pewaukee, Mary (Thomas) Rehrauer of Manitowoc, Genevieve Kuepfer of Greely, Colo., Linda (Richard) Mollet of Sussex, Christine Kuepfer of Everett, Wash., and Victoria (Philip) Oresick of Waukesha, and the special grandfather to nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Private family services were held. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
