VANCOUVER, WASH.

Lisa Giberson Dixon

Feb. 6, 1970 - June 9, 2007

Lisa Giberson Dixon passed away Saturday, June 9, 2007, at age 37. She was born Feb. 6, 1970, in Shirley, Mass.

Lisa grew up in Chico, Calif., and graduated from California State University, Chico, in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in human resources management.

She married David Dixon in 1997. They traveled many places together and called several cities and towns their home, as David serves on active duty with the U.S. Coast Guard. As a result, they had lived most recently in Vancouver, Wash., by way of Sitka, Alaska, Seattle, Richland, Wash., and Monterey, Calif. Lisa had several employers during her travels: DPIC, Monterey; Welch’s Juice, Kennewick, Wash.; Spacelabs Medical, Seattle; and most recently, Tri-West Healthcare Alliance, Sitka.

Although she left us many years too soon, her life was very full in experiences, travels, friends and achievements. Her friends and family were so fortunate: Lisa taught us all about living life in the moment, loving others unconditionally, to remain positive in the face of challenges and to always look forward to each new day with optimism. Lisa, we all love you and we will miss you.

She leaves behind her husband, David Dixon of Vancouver; her parents, Richard and Jeanne Giberson of Chico; her grandfather, Richard (Elinore) Giberson of Chico; a large extended family from New Hampshire, Wisconsin and California; and numerous friends from all her travels.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. July 5, at Brusie Funeral Home, 626 Broadway, Chico.

Memorial contributions should be made to the American Cancer Society.
