Lee C. Songer

March 29, 1943 - Feb. 27, 2007

Lee C. Songer, 63, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, at his home in Wales. He was born in Danville, Ill., to Robert and Eileen Songer on March 29, 1943.

Lee was a Vietnam conflict veteran and truck owner-operator of Songer Express.

Lee kept a low profile as he provided selfless services to his kinfolk and friends. He also enjoyed his bowling friends, NASCAR's Matt Kenseth and the Packers.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; son, Eric (Heidi) of Chaska, Minn.; daughter, Terri Jo (Tyson) Fox of Clermont, Fla.; and grandchildren, Caleb Songer and Ari Lee Fox. He also leaves a sister, Anna Wiley of Schererville, Ind.; a brother, Robert (April) Songer of Waynetown, Ind.; his mother-in-law, Jean Jahn of Jefferson; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Private memorial services will be held Sunday, March 4, at Jerusalem Presbyterian Church, Wales.
