Margaret Orvis

Margaret G. Orvis, 89, of Rhinelander, died Sunday, March 4, 2007, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander. She was born Nov. 27, 1917, in Waukesha, to Herman and Martha (Orgas) Koeppen.

Margaret was employed by Waukesha Motors Co. for more than 20 years. Upon her retirement, she moved to the Harshaw area where she has lived since.

She is survived by her five sisters, Laura Bishop and Lillian (William) Rostagno, both of Waukesha, Evelyn Mitchell of Harshaw, Anna (Richard) Schirmacher of Boaz, Ala., and Leona (Robert) Orr of O’Fallon, Mo.; her brother, Michael (Joan) Huegel of North Glen, Colo.; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Orvis, on Nov. 29, 2001; and her brother, Louis "Bud" Koeppen.
