George T. Bush
Feb. 18, 1917- March 5, 2007
George Thompson Bush, 90, a Waukesha resident and formerly of Wausau, passed away Monday, March 5, 2007, at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc.
He was born Feb. 18, 1917, in Minneapolis, the son of the late George Louis and Mary Margaret (nee Thompson) Bush.
During World War II, George served in the Army in Europe and was a member of the Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force (SHAEF). He was a proud veteran and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. After the war, George returned home to his wife Marjorie and son Thomas and began his career in school photography. George enjoyed many years traveling through central and northern Wisconsin and the upper peninsula of Michigan photographing the students and faculty.
He is lovingly survived by his children, Mary (Karl) Weseljak, Charles ﾒChuckﾓ Bush and Cindy (Joe) Pomasl, and his grandchildren, Kraig (Christa), Kurt, Brian (Donna), Sean, Kevin, Shanna (Eric) and Alea (Lyle). Further surviving George are five great-grandchildren and his brother, Charles (Helen) Bush.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marjorie; his parents, George and Mary Bush; and his son, Thomas Bush.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. memorial service Saturday, March 10, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to the Leukemia Society, 4125 N. 124th St., Brookfield, WI 53005.
