Sherry J. Ford
June 23, 1937- March 8, 2007
Sherry J. Ford, 69, of Eau Claire, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2007, at home surrounded by family under the care of Northwest Home Care and Hospice.
Sherry was born June 23, 1937, in Waukesha, to Joseph and Ruth (Hamilton) Patsch. Before she graduated from Waukesha High School in 1956, she participated in many clubs and sports activities, even lettering in volleyball and basketball. This fall would have marked nearly 35 years of marriage to Robert Ford.
Sherry enjoyed a great many things, such as farming, completing the daily New York Times crossword puzzles, crocheting, painting, bowling, ceramics, gardening, cooking and gathering friends and family around her. She was especially excited to share her family history and attend the Hamilton family reunions each year. Most of all, she dearly loved the Packers ﾐ particularly enjoying the games in which the Packers soundly beat the Vikings. There will never be a more devoted Packers fan than Sherry Ford.
She will be deeply missed by Robert, her loving husband; their children: her sons, Joe (Laura) Ahlm, Jeff Ahlm, Jay Ahlm and John Ahlm; her daughter, Marcy (Scott) Thomas; their son, Bobby (Rita) Ford; Robertﾕs daughters, Nyla (Raymond) Newville, Anne (Jeff) Newbauer, Charmin Ford and Judy (Thomas) Sampson; his son, Alan (Trudy) Ford; her sister and best friend, DeLores (Stanley) Ridgeman; brother, John (Kathy) Cavey; 24 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Her parents, Ruth Cavey and Joseph Patsch, preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Home, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona. Please stay for the memorial service at 7:30 p.m.
