Dr. Milton A. Kamsler Jr.

Dr. Milton A. Kamsler Jr. passed away peacefully at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine, Fla., on Friday, March 23, 2007.

Dr. Kamsler was born to Milton and Mercia Kamsler on July 13, 1923, in Philadelphia. He completed his undergraduate work at Amherst College and earned his doctorate of medicine from the University of Pennsylvania. He later served a fellowship at Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Kamsler married Ruth Mae Harris in 1946. Dr. Kamsler was a dedicated physician who enjoyed a 30-plus-year career in private practice as a doctor of internal medicine in Burlingame, Calif. He proudly served in the U.S. Army in Wiesbaden and Frankfurt, Germany, during the post-World War II era.

Dr. Kamsler is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ruth Mae Kamsler; two sons, J. Scott (Linda Bishop) Kamsler of Monte Sereno, Calif., and Kirk (Cindy) Kamsler of St. Augustine; one daughter, Susan Louise (John Fogg) Kamsler of Denver; five grandchildren, Sarah (Andy) Lonnquist, Matt Kamsler, Emily Kamsler, Taylor Kamsler and Reed Kamsler.
