The Rev. Donald N. Weber

The Rev. Donald N. Weber, born June 22, 1922, in Milwaukee, and ordained June 7, 1947, at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Milwaukee, was born to eternal life Thursday, May 3, 2007.
He is survived by his beloved brother, the Rev. Gordon Weber, other relatives and many dear friends.
Rev. Weber started his ministries at Marquette University and St. Francis Seminary. In 1947, he began as an assistant at St. Mary Parish in Racine. In 1955, he was appointed to serve in the Archdiocesan Family Life Work and as assistant chaplain for St. Joseph to 1975. He became ombudsman to priests from 1973 to 1975. In 1981, he was appointed the pastor at St. Jude the Apostle Parish in Wauwatosa, serving this faith community until his retirement in 1995. Rev. Weber served as editorial director and publisher of the Official Pastoral Handbook for the State of Wisconsin (1960 to 1975); as the Archdiocesan director of NAIM (1972 to 1981); and president of the Milwaukee Priestsí Senate (1974 to 1978).
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. scripture service Sunday, May 6, at Becker Ritter Funeral Home, 14075 W. North Ave., Brookfield. Visitation continues from 9:30 a.m. until the 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial Monday, May 7, at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 734 Glenview Ave., Wauwatosa, with a reception to follow in the church hall. Private graveside services will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
