Dolores ‘Dolly’ Jean Farrar

Dolores "Dolly" Jean Farrar of Waukesha died Sunday, May 6, 2007, at home at age 79. Dolores was born Oct. 4, 1927, in Ames, Iowa, the daughter of William and Helen (nee Graf) Bertram.

In 1965, she started working as a teller at First National Bank until she went to work as a supervisor for the Waukesha Water Utility Co., from which she retired in 1989. Dolores belonged to a variety of bridge clubs and was a member of L.O.B.S. (Last of the Big Spenders). She loved to travel in the United States and abroad, Europe and the Mediterranean.

Dolores will be sadly missed by her children, Julie Ann Farrar of Wisconsin Rapids, Cathy Lynn Garrett of Arlington, Texas, and Kimberly Joy (Jay) Butterbach of Waukesha; grandchildren, Colleen (David) Peltier, Eric (Racheal) Butterbach and Krista Butterbach; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Creighton and Bryson; and many dear loving friends. Dolores’ warm smile, her beauty and generous heart will always be remembered.

The funeral service for Dolores will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, at St. Matthias Episcopal Church, 111 E. Main St., Waukesha. The Rev. Dr. Thomas Barnett will officiate. Visitation for Dolores will be held Wednesday at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, from noon until the 2 p.m. procession to the church for the 2:30 p.m. service.
