Richard Audlin Marx Sr., 73, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2007, in Laughlin, Nev. He was born July 10, 1933, in Eau Claire, the son of Carl and Litia Marx.

He is survived as the loving husband of Betty (nee Gerakis); adoring father to his daughter, Christy of Fort Atkinson; and seven sons, Richard (Patricia) of Fort Atkinson, Thomas of the town of Genesee, Charles (Jelene) of Ottawa, Gerald (Kathy) of Denton, Texas, Robert (Robbie) of Ottawa, Ronald (Christine) of the town of Genesee and Timothy (Justine) of Fort Atkinson. He is further survived by 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; his brother, Jim (Penny) of Chesterton, Ind.; and many friends and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Litia; his stepmother, Irene; sister, Charlene Buddish; and granddaughter, Megan (our angel).

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, May 11, with a recitation of the rosary at 5 p.m. at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 12, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 214 Sanborn Ave., Jefferson. Another visitation will be held at that church from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will follow the Mass at Salem Cemetery in Wales.

Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association or to St. John the Baptist Church.
