Betty Lou Promer

Betty Lou Promer, lifelong resident of Waukesha, died Thursday, April 26, 2007, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at age 82. Betty was born May 25, 1924, in Waukesha, the daughter of Allen and Margaret (nee Dickman) Williams.
She worked in the radiology department at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and was a member of the Waukesha Service Club for many years. Betty was married to the late Dr. John E. Promer, a surgeon who was on the staff of Waukesha Memorial Hospital. She loved baseball, football and instilled a love of cooking in all of her children. Betty will be sadly missed by her children, Janice Promer of Chicago, Barbara (Charles) Fisher of Eastman, Karen Promer of Palo Alto, Calif., James (Shelley) Promer of Menomonee Falls, John (Jeanne) Promer of Hoover, Ala., and Margaret (Donald) VanderMolen of Westchester, Ill. She is further survived by nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
A celebration of Bettyﾕs life will be held at noon Saturday, May 12, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The visitation will be Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
