Wayne W. Blaedow

Wayne W. Blaedow, 70, died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at his residence in Palmyra. He was born Sept. 4, 1936, in Waukesha, the son of William and Orfa (nee Klix) Blaedow.

Wayne retired from Alloy Products Inc. in Waukesha. He was a member St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Palmyra Flying Hawks, the Palmyra Flying Club and the Palmyra American Legion Post 304. He was also a veteran of U.S. Marine Corps and a retired member of the Palmyra Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife, Ginger (nee Nelson), whom he married in Chicago on Dec. 27, 1958. He is further survived by his children, Tony (Jill) Blaedow of Palmyra, Tammie (Timothy) Hummel of Whitewater, Terry Blaedow of Texas and Tom (Sandy) Blaedow of Whitewater; seven grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren, one great-grandson and three stepgreat-grandchildren; sisters, Beverly (Dick) Grosskreutz of Whitewater and Judy Foltz of Hiles; brothers, Lyle (Bev) Blaedow of Richmond and Robert Blaedow of Rhinelander; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 13, at Mealy’s Funeral Home, 320 W. Main St., Palmyra. Visitation continues from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial Monday, May 14, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Palmyra. The Rev. Anthony Aakula will officiate with burial, with full military honors, at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
