John J. Jr. ĎBudí Huber

John J. Jr. "Bud" Huber went to meet his Lord at Tudor Oaks in Muskego at age 84.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Gear; dear friend, Alice Wilson; his parents, John and Florence Huber; and his brother, Charles.

He was the beloved father of Joan (David) Kaminski, Marie (Wayne) Fillinger and Steven Gallagher, and loving grandpa of Joan (Ricky) Anderson, Jean Boettcher, David (Cindy), Dennis and Daniel (Michelle) Kaminski, Wayne, Warren, Marcus and Melissa Fillinger and David (Dana) Peters. He is further survived by 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; his sister, Ruth (Fred) King of Frankfurth, Ill.; brother-in-law, Arthur Gear of Michigan; and godchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also a foster father to 33 children.

He was a founding member of St. Leonardís Congregation of Muskego, the Holy Name Society and St. Leonardís Usher Society. He was also a member of the Muskego Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8171, the GE Quarter Century Club and an employee of GE Medical Systems for 47 years. He was on the building committee for the original Muskego High School, a former Boy Scout leader in Chicago and Milwaukee and served during World War II in the Army 32nd Red Arrow Division.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, May 14, at Max A. Sass & Sons Westwood Chapel, W173-S7629 Westwood Drive, Muskego, with a 7 p.m. combined prayer vigil and VFW ritual. Visitation continues from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. funeral Mass on Tuesday, May 15, at St. Leonard Catholic Church, W173-S7743 Westwood Drive, Muskego. Interment will be at Sunnyside Cemetery in New Berlin.

In lieu of flowers, family memorials are appreciated.
