Richard L. ‘Dick’ Szulczewski

Richard L. "Dick" Szulczewski, 75, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 8, 2007, due to complications from a fall. Dick was born in Waukesha and was a graduate of Waukesha High School.

He was preceded in death by his son, Brian, and his parents, Louis and Rose Szulczewski.

He will be deeply missed by Janice, his wife of 53 years; daughter, Susan; and granddog, Oscar. He is further survived by his brother, Robert (Nancy); niece, Kelly (Glenn); and nephew, Scott (Liz) Szulczewski, all of California.

Dick was a graduate of University of Wisconsin in electrical engineering and retired from Honeywell Military Avionics Division. He proudly served his country during the Korean War aboard the USS Bristol-DD 857 and currently served as treasurer of the Bristol Veteran’s Association.

A celebration of Dick’s life will be held at 11 a.m. today, May 12, at Colonial Church of Edina, 6200 Colonial Way, Edina, Minn. Private interment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Colonial Church of Edina or to the family for memorials yet to be determined.
