Claude M. Arnold of Waukesha died Saturday May 12, 2007, at age 93. Claude was born in Troy Center on Oct. 16, 1913, the son of Charles and Rose (nee Hoffman) Arnold.
His wife Mary (nee Coakley) Arnold preceded him in death in 1991. He played football for East Troy High School and baseball in the Land ‘o Lakes division. He played golf and enjoyed fishing and hunting near Lakewood, where they had a cottage. He enjoyed bowling and darts. He retired from Wisconsin Centrifugal in 1975.
Claude is survived by his wife, Harriet Anderson Arnold, who he married May 26, 1996. He was the loving father of his five children and will be missed greatly by Patricia (Ernest) Mueller, Gerald Arnold, Maryann (Duane) Kreger, Richard (Andrea) Arnold and David (Janille) Arnold; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He also is survived by his three stepchildren, Nina (Richard) Schlidt, Rita (Steve) Wrighton and Amy (Douglas) Limburg; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Claude also was preceded in death by his daughter, Jeanne, and granddaughter, Sara.
Visitation for Claude will be held Tuesday, May 15, from 5 p.m. until the 8 p.m. funeral service at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Kelly Fowler will officiate. A private family inurnment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorials in Claude’s name may be directed to Rolland Nelson Hospice, 1020 James Drive, Suite E., Hartland, WI 53029 or Buckmaster’s Program for Children.
