Marian Jean DeLap

Marian Jean (nee Hoeft), 73, of East Troy, died unexpectedly Thursday, May 10, 2007, while on a trip to Missouri. She was born Nov. 17, 1933, in Waukesha, the daughter of Alfred and Elsie (nee Bellin) Hoeft.
Marian graduated from Waukesha High School. She married Glen A. DeLap on Aug. 4, 1956, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Waukesha. They lived in Delavan until moving to East Troy, where they were longtime residents. She retired from Lakeland Hospital where she was a ward clerk. Her memberships included the East Troy and Mukwonago senior citizens groups, and she was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for more than 30 years. She was a huge Green Bay Packers fan and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Marian is survived by her children, Barb K. DeLap, Wendy (Bob) Zimny and Steve (Barbara) DeLap; grandchildren, Alyssa, Taylor and Kevin; a sister, Ellen (Charles) Johnson; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a daughter, Tracy DeLap.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, May 18, with a funeral service to follow immediately at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Highway 20, East Troy. Interment is at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at East Delavan Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are greatly appreciated, as they will be making donations to more than one organization.
