Angeline Elizabeth ĎBettyí Pagenkopf

Angeline Elizabeth "Betty" (nee Kraut) Pagenkopf, 85, died Tuesday, May 22, 2007, in Oconomowoc. She was born Oct. 19, 1921, in Wisconsin, the daughter of Carney and Blanch (nee Manning) Kraut.

She married Erhard "Pinky" Pagenkopf on April 19, 1940, at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Ashippun. Together, the couple owned and operated Pagenkopf Funeral Home and Furniture Store in Ashippun and Pagenkopf Funeral Home in Oconomowoc, which is now in its fourth generation.

She was a member of St. Johnís Lutheran Church, and a former member of LaBelle Country Club, Watertown Country Club, Kettle Moraine Country Club, 40 niners dance club, 12 nighters dance club and the Oconomowoc Womens Club.

She is survived by her children, Donna (Robert) Drenk of Oconomowoc and Keith (Ronna) Pagenkopf of Oconomowoc; grandchildren, Brian Laak of Oconomowoc, Douglas Laak of Rubicon, David Drenk of Oconomowoc, Daniel (Stacey) Drenk of Wausau, Kimberly (Jeffery) Howie of Ashippun, Michelle (Darrell) Kraft of Ashippun and Kevin (Cindy) Pagenkopf of Oconomowoc; great-grandchildren, Amber, Autumn, Collin, Austin, Makenna and Mason; son-in-law, DuWayne (Jan) Laak of Minoqua; sister, Rose (Phil) Beahlen of Whitewater; and brothers, Raymond Kraut of Watertown and Dale Kraut of Milwaukee. Other relatives and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Erhard Pagenkopf; daughter, Constance Laak; brother, Robert Kraut; and sisters, Alice Hanson and Bonnie Lutz.

Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, May 25, at Pagenkopf Funeral Home, 1165 E. Summit Ave. (Highway 67), Oconomowoc, and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 26, at St. Johnís Lutheran Church, N1245 St. Johnís Way, Ashippun. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Johnís Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Gary Tillmann officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the church or Bethesda Lutheran Home in Watertown.
