Gerald "Jerry" or "JW" I. Wilson, 80, formerly of Eagle, passed away peacefully Tuesday May 22, 2007, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

Jerry was born in Colorado on Dec. 23, 1926, the son of John and Maude Wilson. Jerry and his late wife, Helen, lived in Eagle until his retirement from International Harvester after 28 years of service in 1976. Upon his retirement, they moved to Whitelake. Jerry was a proud veteran of the Navy and served on the USS West Virginia during World War II. Jerry loved his place "Up North." He loved to hunt with his buddies and Rick and Rob. We will miss his "zooming" around on his golf cart on his property.

Jerry will be sadly missed by his children, Joan (Gordon) Kriewald of Eagle, Jackee (Gary) Fuchs of Johnson Creek, Wendy (Dale) Wilson of Mukwonago, Rick (Lu) Wilson of Eagle and Cindy (Rob) Deisinger of Mukwonago; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Chuck (Doe) Wilson, John (Irene) Wilson and Bob (Colleen) Wilson. Jerry is further survived by other relatives and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until the 8 p.m. memorial service Friday, May 25, at Mealy’s Funeral Service, 103 Eagle St., Eagle. The Rev. Brady Finnern will officiate. An additional memorial service will be held in Whitelake at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the donor’s choice are appreciated.
