Richard M. ‘Rich’ Witkowski

June 6, 1939 - May 25, 2007

Richard M. "Rich" Witkowski, 67, died at 8:10 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2007, in his home after a battle with cancer. He was born June 6, 1939, in Crivitz, a son of John and Rose (nee Kavacinski) Witkowski.

On July 23, 1994, in Delafield, he married Lois S. Leathem Crawford. She survives him.

After graduation from high school, Rich served in the U.S. Army before beginning his working career. He retired from Briggs & Stratton Co. as a machine repair technician. Rich was of the Roman Catholic Faith.

In addition to his wife Lois, he is survived by his mother, Rose Witkowski of Greendale; two stepdaughters, Elizabeth (Robert) Potter of North Prairie and Kimberly (Kelle Brogan) Crawford of Reno, Nev.; one stepson, George (Lisa) Crawford of Waukesha; and one brother, Ronald (Shirley) Witt of Greendale. He was also the proud grandfather of nine.

He was preceded in death by his father and his daughter, Kerri L. Hogan.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 31, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 W. Bluemound Road, Waukesha. Private family funeral services will be held. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
