Carrie L. Key, 93, of Waukesha, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007, at the Brookfield Rehabilitation Center. She was born Feb. 9, 1914, in Melcher, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Alvira (nee Spangle) Harding.

Carrie was united in holy matrimony to George Ray Key on Aug. 10, 1945, in Carlton, Minn.

Carrie was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Waukesha and was a retiree from the Oster Manufacturing Co. in Milwaukee, with 25 years of service.

Carrie was preceded in death by her husband, George Key, in 1982; her son, William Key, in 1999; and her daughter, Carolyn Long, in 2002.

Carrie is survived by her brother, Bill (Darlene) Harding of Waukesha; son-in-law, Gerald Long; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Key. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Michael (Gina) Long of Elkhorn, James Long of Waukesha, Susan (James) Fabian of Minooka, Ill., Thomas (Bridget) Long of Waukesha, Stephanie Brenner of Waukesha and Jennifer (Jeff) Alexander of Dousman. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Carrie will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 W. Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha. Further visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 5, from 9:30 a.m. at Church and Chapel until the time of the funeral service at 10 a.m.

Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin.
