Robert L. Schieble

Robert L. Schieble, 90, of Waukesha, a former longtime Pewaukee resident, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He was born April 6, 1917, in Milwaukee, the son of Adam and Anna (nee Weber) Schieble.
Robert married Dorothy Ponik on Oct. 12, 1938. Along with his brothers, Robert was the co-owner of Schiebleﾕs Meat Market on Oakland Avenue in Shorewood for many years. Later, he was employed at Wood-Lam in Pewaukee as a carpenter until his retirement.
Robert was past commodore of Pewaukee Yacht Club and is in the Waukesha Bowlers Hall of Fame. He was an avid muskie fisherman and hunter, and was a longtime member of St. William Catholic Church in Waukesha.
Robert will be sadly missed by his wife of 69 years, Dorothy; three children, Robert J. (Sue) Schieble of Pewaukee, Susan (Walter) Tarmann of Oconomowoc and Marleen Schieble of Waukesha; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, John Schieble of Pewaukee; and other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Walter Schieble.
A private family funeral Mass was held, followed by entombment at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Milwaukee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donorﾕs choice.
