Jacqueline A. Samuel

Jacqueline A. Samuel (nee Jastroch) of Waukesha was called to live in the presence of God on Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, in the early hours of the morning at Zilber Family Hospice at age 60.

She is the loving mother of Erica (fiance Eric Ellsworth); sister of Leonard (Bonnie) Jastroch; fiancee of Charles Salamun; aunt of Nina Magestro and Justin Wichman; and is also survived by aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Jacqueline was preceded in death by her mother and father, Frances and Edwin Jastroch.

A memorial Mass will be held at 5 p.m. today, Nov. 13, at Holy Apostles Church, 16000 W. National Ave. A memorial gathering will be held at 3:30 p.m. today at the church until the time of the Mass.

Jacqueline graduated from St. Maryís Academy. She earned her bachelorís degree from Marquette (Phi Mu sorority) and her masterís degree in social work from UWM. She dedicated the next 10 years as a social worker at the Milwaukee Department of Public Welfare. Later, she found a passion for teaching and obtained a degree from Marquette University. Jacqueline taught fourth grade for many years at St. Aloysius Grade School in West Allis and recently taught at Whitnall Middle School in Hales Corners.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Mary Queen of Saints Academy, 1414 S. 93rd St., would be appreciated.
