Michael G. ‘Mike’ Harmon

Michael G. "Mike" Harmon of Milwaukee died Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, at age 56. Mike was born April 12, 1951, in Waukesha, the son of Glenn and Lorraine (nee Kreidler) Harmon.
Mike was a 1969 graduate of Catholic Memorial High School. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1972 and served for four years. While in the Navy, he was trained as a boiler operator. Upon returning to Waukesha, he used his training as a boiler operator for Waukesha Memorial Hospital and also for the City of Waukesha. Mike had a passion for music and enjoyed playing the guitar and saxophone.
Mike will be sadly missed by his mother, Lorraine (John) Martin of Legend Lake and Lakeland, Fla.; his sister and brothers, Karen (Jeff) Wandsneider of Waukesha, Tom (Mary) Harmon of Rome and Dan Harmon of Waukesha; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn; his brother, Rick; and his grandparents.
A visitation for Mike will take place from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service Saturday, Nov. 17, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Entombment will take place at noon Monday, Nov. 19, at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Union Grove.
Memorials in Mike’s name may be directed to the family to be used to assist those who reside at the Veterans Affairs dormitory in Milwaukee.
