Robert W. Jozwiak

Robert W. Jozwiak of Pewaukee died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, at AngelsGrace Hospice at age 77. Robert was born March 4, 1930, in Milwaukee, the son of Walter and Marie (nee Wroblewski) Jozwiak.

Robert was an active volunteer and member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1948 and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955. After graduating from Marquette University with a degree in journalism, he worked for the Waukesha Freeman as an editor and reporter. He then went on to teach journalism and was an administrator for the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha, where he retired in 1994. Robert was a member of Sigma Delta Chi. He served on the Waukesha United Way for more than 15 years, he was president and a board member of the Rolland D. Nelson Visiting Nurses Association and vice president of the Hearing Loss Association of Waukesha.

Robert will be deeply missed by his wife of 47 years, Louanne; his daughters, Anne of Madison, Elizabeth of Janesville and Kathleen (Christopher) Eull of Waukesha; and his grandsons, Thomas and Connor Eull. He is further survived by his cousins, other relatives and many friends.

The Jozwiak family extends a special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Regional Cancer Center at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and the caregivers at AngelsGrace Hospice.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial Saturday, Nov. 24, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2400 Highway 59, Waukesha. The Rev. James Loehr will be officiating. Interment will be at St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery, Waukesha.
