Linda S. James

Linda S. James of Waukesha lost her courageous battle with cancer and passed away peacefully Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, at AngelsGrace Hospice at age 59. She was born May 20, 1948, in Racine, to Paul and Lillian Langenfeld Heck. She was raised by her father, Paul Heck, and her mother, Ethel Heck.

She was happily married to Don James for 39 years. Linda was the loving mother of Amy James and Andy (Jamie) James and proud grandmother to her granddaughters. She is also survived by her two brothers, Ted Heck and Peter (Tomi) Heck; two sisters, Julie (Nick) Ambrosini and JoEllen Langenfeld; and other relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed and thought of by all.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian, in 1970, and her brother, Paul Heck Jr., in 2001.

Linda was currently employed as the administrative assistant to the director of curriculum in the district office for Pewaukee schools, where she was employed for the last 17 years. In addition, she was also employed at Waukesha County Technical College in Pewaukee.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 W. Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha. Services will begin at 6 p.m. Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30 at Prairie Home Cemetery.
