Frank Karlinsky of Waukesha died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, at Virginia Health and Rehabilitation Center at age 79. He was born Feb. 1, 1928, in Devils Lake, N.D., the son of Nicholas and Monica Karlinsky.
Frank was a devoted member, volunteer and usher at St. William Catholic Church. He retired from Aring Equipment after more than 30 years as a diesel mechanic, and he proudly served in the U.S. Army. After the loss of his wife, Frankﾕs priority was always his family, and they will remember him as a devoted and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Frank will be sadly missed by his son, Jeff (Teri) of Watertown; his daughters, Mary Karr (Mike Waddell) of North Carolina, Cindy Zillmer (Jim Steigenberger) of Dousman and Kim (Roberto) Goderich of Waukesha; his brother, Martin Karlinsky of Milwaukee; his sister, Fran Lyles of Shawano; his grandchildren, Paul (Kelly), Kristi, Briana and Kodi; his stepgrandchildren, Angela, Robert, Tony and Zak; his great-grandchildren, Britney, Brandon, Alyssa and Paige; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Nathan and Skye. Frank is further survived by other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; his grandson, Brian Zillmer; his parents, Nicholas and Monica Karlinsky; and brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, Oct. 4, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237ﾊN. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Visitation continues Friday, Oct. 5, at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. procession to St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Waukesha, following the Mass.
