Doris M. Schultz

Doris M. Schultz, 86, entered into eternal life Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007. She was born April 26, 1921, in Whitewater, where her family owned a farm for many years.

She was married Feb. 27, 1939, to Harold Schultz. Doris raised her children in a variety of locations - Whitewater, Mukwonago and Wales ミハbefore settling in Waukesha. In 1947, the family became members of St. Lukes Lutheran Church, where Doris was actively involved in activities such as teaching Sunday school, Saturday Bible school and summer vacation Bible school. She was also a member of Hannah Circle and the quilters (which sent quilts all over the world to needy people).

After raising her six children, Doris then went to work for 12 years at GTE (with perfect attendance) and another three years at GE before retiring. Her favorite pastimes included traveling all over the United States, reading, playing the piano, needle crafts and music, including the talent of yodeling.

She is survived by four children, Karen (Sheldon) Johnson, Kristopher (Jeanne) Schultz, Susan (Alan) Theusch and Sandra (Kenneth) Larson; 10 grandchildren, Lora Clemons, Cheryl Yoss, Billie Jo Ottow, Danielle Fetcher, Amanda Schultz, Jason Schultz, Jennifer Weedon, Joshua Broege, Josiah Broege and Anna Campagna; eight great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Schultz, and by two children, Diane S. (William) Sanders and Dale H. (Cindy) Schultz.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the 4 p.m. funeral service today, Oct. 5, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St., Waukesha. Fellowship will be provided in Cloniger Hall after the funeral services.
