Pearl B. Schmelter

‘Queen of Hearts’

Pearl B. (nee Bourdo) Schmelter, the "Queen of Hearts," was born to eternal life Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, at age 94.

She was the beloved wife of the late Louis and loving mother of Don (the late Phyllis) Schmelter. Pearl is survived by her dear brother, Roland (Phyllis) Bourdo, and 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joan (the late Milton) Kroll.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, at Max A. Sass & Sons Westwood Chapel, W173-S7629 Westwood Drive, Muskego, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Visitation continues from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, S89-W22650 Milwaukee Ave., Big Bend, with a Mass of Christian burial being held at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Rural Home Cemetery.

If desired, memorials to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Big Bend or AngelsGrace Hospice of Oconomowoc are appreciated.
