Richard H. Arndt May 29, 1929 - Oct. 24, 2007
A former resident of Bay View, he was a graduate of Bay View High School. In 1952, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison earning a masterユs degree in electrical engineering. He was employed with General Electric for 27 years. He then worked for S & C Electric in Chicago and also for RTE/Cooper Power in Pewaukee until his retirement in 1991. After retirement, he stayed active and worked as a consultant for many years. He was a member of the Berkshire Hillsman Barbershop Chorus in Lenox and was a founding member of the Lenox Volunteer Ambulance Squad. He worked on the governorユs council helping develop a law in Massachusetts for disabled children. Richard is lovingly survived by his wife, Cynthia (nee Cotter) Arndt of Waukesha, formerly of Madison; his five children, Ellen (Richard) Mendel of Lenox Dale, Mass., William of Waukesha, Katherine (William) Birdsall of Milwaukee, David (Dawn Duellman) of Waukesha and Kevin of Milwaukee; and his five grandchildren, Rebecca Field of Los Angeles, Connor and Jack Birdsall, and Jacob and Matthew Arndt. He is further survived by his brother-in-law, Tim (Connie) Cotter of Waunakee, along with several nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Patrick (Ruth) Cotter. Visitation will be held from noon until the 3 p.m. funeral service Sunday, Oct. 28, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha.
