Mary L. Miller

Mary L. Miller of Horicon passed away Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, at age 101. Mrs. Miller was born Dec. 25, 1905, in Milroy, Minn., to parents Frank and Anna (Sovell) Wyrembeck.

Mary traveled extensively before her marriage, meeting and seeing many interesting people and places. She married Frederick B. Miller on Aug. 22, 1928, in Waukegan, Ill. On Nov. 17, 1929, their marriage was solemnized at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Beaver Dam with the Rev. John Bryonkala officiating. Throughout her life, she was a source of aid and comfort to her family and friends. Mary never refused a request to lend a hand to help or an ear to listen in times of trouble. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia M. Miller of Hustisford; her son, George (Pat) Miller of North Lake; and her sister, Helen (Lennie) Bauer of Milwaukee. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Debra (Dean) Zerbst, Lori Vasquez, Annmarie Stone, Christopher Dettmann, Anthony Dettmann, John Dettmann, Mark (Caryn) Miller, Tina (Brian) Jaeger and Michael Miller, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred, on Jan. 16, 1982; sisters, Julia Hobl, Martha Emery, Frances Lawson, Angela Krueger, Regina Pichekoske and Virginia Benfield; as well as her brothers, Max and Mike Wyrembeck.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the 5 p.m. funeral Mass on Friday, Nov. 2, at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Highway 83, North Lake, with the Rev. Anthony McCarthy officiating. Burial will be in St. Clare Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish.
