Leo I. Klecker, 90, passed away peacefully Monday, Sept. 10, 2007.
Leo was a proud World War II Army veteran, serving with the Army Corps of Engineers in the Pacific Theater and retiring as a lieutenant colonel. He was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He worked for 38 years for AT&T. Leo was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed his many trips to Canada and South Dakota. For the last four years, he was a resident of the Virginia Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He is survived by his daughters, Ann (Gordon) Bryant of Princeton, N.J., Beth (Don) Baran of Apple Valley, Minn., and Margee Klecker of Oconomowoc; his son, John Klecker of Waukesha; grandsons, Allen and Douglas Bryant and Todd and Kyle Baran; and his former wife, Evelyn (nee Sargent) Klecker.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents, John and Celestina (nee Kusilek), and his brothers, Irvin and Adelbert of Pierce County.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral service Saturday, Sept. 15, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 W. Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha. A private burial will be held.
