Harold W. Mueller
Harold W. Mueller, 88, joined the Lord on Sept. 15, 2007.
He is survived as the beloved husband of 58 years to Sylvia, dear father of Lois (Gordon) Friske, Charles and Karen (Loren) Thompson; and dear grandfather of Linsey, Casey, Hillary and Kayla. Also surviving Harold are many other relatives and friends.
Harold graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in electrical engineering. He was a professional registered electrical engineer for the state of Wisconsin, and also worked for General Motors for 33 years as a supervisor in various production engineering activities, including the Apollo Program. In addition, he was a member of The Engineering Society of Milwaukee, Society of Automotive Engineers and two honorary engineering fraternities.
He was baptized and confirmed at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Luxemburg. During World War II, he spent several years in the U.S. Army Signal Corps, serving in the Pacific Theater from Australia to Japan. At Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wauwatosa, he was a member and served as elder, secretary, school board member, financial secretary, Bethel Series instructor, Christian Caring Committee organizer and Sunday bulletin assembly coordinator. Harold also was active in volunteer work and liked golfing, bowling, hunting, fishing and games of horseshoes.
A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18 at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 1875 N. Calhoun Road, and on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until the 12:30 p.m. services. Interment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be considered for Concordia Seminary.
